What types of artist accounts do you have available?

There are two accounts you can choose from:

The Industry Exposure Account enables you to upload your tracks and photos, podcast your fans and promote your gigs through the gig calendar. You will also be entered into the Keynote database which is accessible by our music industry members therefore maximising exposure.

The Independent Artist account benefits from all of the Industry Exposure account features. If you are an artist who would like to sell your music, design and sell your merchandise and sell your music videos then the Independent Artist account is the one for you. You also get to set your own price and keep 100% of the sale price from your track and video sales after Paypal fees.

What format should my tracks be in?
Please use either mp3 for audio, mp4 for video podcast (vodcast) and flv for your online video(s).

How do I convert to mp3 format from a CD and/or another file format?
You could use Apple's iTunes for Windows or Mac. You could also try
http://www.mp3-converter.com/mp3_converter_freeware.htm for a selection of free converters. Alternatively a quick search on the web should enable you to find one suitable for you.

How do I convert to mp4 format for my vodcast?
There are a number of free converters on the web. You could try
http://www.mp4-converter.biz/ for a selection of free converters.

How do I convert videos to flv format for upload to my profile?
There are a number of free converters in the web

How large can the podcast files that I upload be?
They should be no more than 5MB per file.

How many tracks can I upload?
For the Independent Artist account you can upload up to 50MB of tracks and for the Industry Exposure account you can upload up to 15MB of tracks.

How do I monitor my sales?
Once you have created an account you are given a login to your own personal administration area. Here you can monitor your sales at any time you choose.

What royalties do I receive from my track and video sales?
After Paypal fees you receive 100% of the royalties. We believe that it is your music so you should receive all of the profit.

How do I collect my royalties?
Before you start selling you must register your PayPal account email address in your Keynote profile admin area. Once registered all funds from track and video sales will be sent directly to your own personal PayPal account – instantly.

What price should I sell my tracks for?
You can set your track sales to any price you like.

If I forget my password can you send me a new one?
Simply select the ‘Forgotton Your Password?’ link and enter your email address and you will be emailed your password.

Why am I not receiving emails from Keynote Unsigned?
This may be due to your email security settings. On sites such as Hotmail, certain settings require you to add Keynote Unsigned to your Allow list.

I have noticed that you have a music industry login on your site. What sort of music industry people are signed to Keynote Unsigned?
We have many different music industry members. Our members include record labels, venues, studios, promoters and many others.
